I’m a graphic designer based out of Stratford, Ontario, with a background in visual arts spanning over a decade. My strong foundation in various visual communication styles makes me highly adaptable in the design space and willing to explore solutions that go beyond a screen. I’ve worked with clients of all shapes and sizes and continue to approach every project with a desire to help people tell their story, visually.
When I’m not in front of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or After Effects, you can find me curled up with a new textile project flexing that creative muscle in a tangible way.
A painter turned
type-setter, with a love for telling stories.
Let me show you what I’ve been up to!
My creative process looks a little like this:
(with some back and forth between steps)
-
Every project begins with a research phase where the target audience, project goals, competitors, and trends are identified and analyzed to understand the scope of a project within the current landscape. This phase is crucial to developing concepts that have a strong voice and stand-out appeal.
-
Ideation is where everything begins to come together. Building on the previous research, visual directions are developed and refined until the best solutions coalesce into concepts worth getting excited about.
-
The design phase is more than just producing pretty pictures. Using the previous research as a guiding light, design is diving into the colours, carefully choosing typography, and curating key illustrations to bring a winning concept to life.
-
A design is only truly successful if it aligns with the goals and outcomes of the client, and an open dialogue helps ensure we meet those goals together. Revision and refinement are a natural part of the process and one I embrace in order to deliver the best solution.
